Just in time for the holidays!

I’ve been tagged by Leslie of UniqueCharm.net

Here are the details:

1. Link to your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog - some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blog.

Here are my 7 random facts:

1. I hate having my face wet. It makes showering difficult and swimming nearly impossible.

2. I don’t leave the house without eyeliner.

3. I have had glasses since I was 8.

4. I used to take drawing classes when I was younger.

5. I also took sewing classes.

6. I have Tetris running constantly on my NES in my bedroom.

7. I love videogames. I have a crazy amount of videogame console systems: NES, SNES, N64, Atari, Gamecube, Sega Genesis, Sega Dreamcast, X-Box, X-Box 360, Wii, Playstation One, Playstation 2, PSP, Sega Game Gear, 2 Nintendo DS. I’ve probably forgotten one. Yes, I have games for all of them.

I’m not tagging people because my brain isn’t working. But if you’d like to do this and share your quirky self wih the world then go nuts!

So once upon a time, about 5 years ago, I met a wonderful, talented woman named Juli. She’s funny, she’s sweet and has handwriting so fine, you’d swear it was a computer font!
She now has a shop on Etsy! It’s so bright and colourful that I simply HAD to share with you!

Juli sells her beautiful art in her shop. It’s bright, it’s fun, it’s completely and totally unique! It is also so well priced that there is simply NO excuse for you NOT to own a piece of her work!

She has paintings:

magnets:

name plates with and without a beaded fringe:

quotes:

And anything else you can even dream of because, yes!, she takes custom orders!

I was lucky enough to get a mini interview with her! Learn a little more!

Name: Juli RIchardson

Store Name: Sassi Frassi

What Made you Choose Your Shop Name: I used to call myself a “southern sassafrass”- a little term I made up that I thought meant that I was sweet, polite, but with a bit of spunk. So, I thought I’d put a twist on it and came up with the term “sassi frassi” to describe my art work with the same concept: sweet with a bit of spunk. My slogan in “sass your frass” - your “frass” can be you, your apartment, your house, your abode- whatever you want it to be!

Date Shop Opened: March 22, 2008

What Made You Want To Start: I do a few area arts and craft shows during the course of the year, and set up in the mall with my mom (a retired art teacher) in my hometown of Tupelo, MS. Several people told me about etsy and suggested I set up a shop. I also bought my own domain recently and thought my etsy shop would be a good transition to the online store-front.

Your Store in One Word or Phrase: FunkyFresh! okay, that’s two words, I cheated. In one word I’d say “Sassy.”

So head on over to Sassi Frassi and get your holiday shopping on! Be sure to tell her Redd sent you!

In an attempt to clear out some inventory, I have opened up a clearance section!

Come on by and grab a deal! I also consider best offers on items in there so it never hurts to ask!

Hope your weekend is well!

I wanted to share a series with you that a member of my Capital Crafters, Fireseed, has written on her blog.

She has written a comprehensive series about the ins and outs of being everywhere at once on the Internet. You’d think that something like this would be dry and hard to get through but I assure you that it’s an easy read and you just may learn something!

So go on over and read it for yourself!

My darling husband, Pauly turns 7642 27 today. Shortly after midnight we were welcomed by 3 raccoons at our backdoor. For those of you not in the know, he and I are crazy about all things cute and fluffy. I named them Rocky, Dan and Nancy (bonus points if you get those references.) I fed them, naturally. I ran to the kitchen to see what I could find and I brought them a humble offering of pita bread and avocado. Fun fact, raccoons love avocado. I tried to take pictures but my camera hates the dark so they didn’t turn out at all.

Instead I have scoured the internet and used my mad PSP skillz to bring you this depiction!

I love you Paulywood! Happy birthday!

So my September goals were:

a) make 15 sales

b) make it to 650 hearts.

I made 18 sales and am at 674 hearts! Hooray! Those sales also don’t include off-etsy sales which were also pretty good. September was definitely my most successful month yet!

Welcome October!

My goals are:

a) make 16 sales

b) make it to 700 hearts.

Let’s go!

Okay, so I’ll never be able to top that lemur.

Have a fabulous weekend my little Redd-Heads!
